We see only what you send
ScamShield only ever sees the specific message you choose to forward to it. It does not connect to, read or monitor your other chats.

We minimise the data we handle, protect it in transit, and never sell your personal information. You’re in control of what you share.
Grounded, not guessing
Our guidance is built on official advisories (RBI, NPCI, CERT-In) and real, reported scams — so answers are trustworthy and easy to act on.
What we do — and don’t — do with your messages
- Do: analyse the message you forward to give you a risk score, an explanation and a safe next step.
- Do: use aggregated, de-identified scam patterns to detect new scams faster and protect the next family.
- Don’t: read your other conversations or contacts.
- Don’t: ask for your OTP, UPI PIN or passwords — and neither should anyone else.
- Don’t: sell your personal data.
Responsible AI
ScamShield uses AI to help you decide — it never decides for you. We hold ourselves to a few clear principles:
- Explainable: every verdict comes with plain-language reasons, not a black-box score.
- Grounded: guidance is anchored in authoritative, verifiable sources.
- Humble: when something is uncertain, we say so and tell you to verify independently.
- Human-first: the final decision is always yours. ScamShield is a companion, not an authority.
Data handling
